About the Role

This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific individual eligibility requirements in accordance with VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) and eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after complete review of the EDRP application.

  • VA Careers - Licensed Clinical Social Worker: https://youtube.com/embed/U_xC25QsN0w Total Rewards of a Allied Health Professional Program Coordinator Geriatrics & Extended Care (GEC) Duties: Responsible for the supervision of five GS-12 social workers, two CNH Coordinators, the Respite Coordinator, HBPC CBOC Social Worker and the LTC Rehab Coordinator.
  • Three GS-11 HBPC social workers a budget technician and two program support staff.
  • Will be State Veteran Home VA Medical Center Representative for five homes and responsible for conducting Annual Surveys, For-Cause Survey's.
  • Administers information and analytical systems to evaluate and enhance the quality of service provided to patients in assigned GEC Social Work programs.
  • Develops and implements information systems to track service activities including visits, referrals, inpatient days, patient demographics, equipment utilization and patient satisfaction.
  • Responsible for establishing the yearly CNH, ADHC, H/HHA, MC and LTC Rehab budget.
  • They are responsible for reviewing and approving control point payment data and projecting budgetary needs for the CNH program.
  • Is the Contracting Officer Technical Representative (COTR) for the CNH program and is responsible for identifying and procuring VA contracts with community nursing homes.
  • Establishes guidelines and performance expectations for staff, which are clearly communicated through the formal employee performance management system.
  • The incumbent plans coverage to ensure adequate professional services are available.
  • Incumbent assures that subordinates are trained and fully comply with the provisions of the safety regulations.
  • The incumbent is responsible for furthering the goals of equal employment opportunity (EEO).
  • Exercises supervisor authorities and responsibilities involving work assignment and review, as well as the administrative and personnel management functions relative to the staff supervised.
  • The incumbent establishes workload and productivity standards with subordinates and monitors to ensure compliance.
