About the Role
The Palliative Care Social Worker, assigned to the Social Work Service at the South Texas Veterans Health Care System (STVHCS), serves in support of the facility's Palliative Care Clinics. As an active member of the Geriatrics & Extended Care (GEC) Palliative Care Interdisciplinary Team, the incumbent provides consultation, case management, and evidence-based therapy to address the psychosocial needs of Veterans and caregivers.
What You'll Do
- →Duties may include but are not limited to: - Assists Veterans served in the Palliative care clinics to navigate care, facilitate access and follow-up.
- →Work Schedule: Monday to Friday 8:00a.m. to 4:30p.m.
- →Telework: Ad-hoc Virtual: This is not a virtual position.

Requirements
- ✓You must be a U.S.
- ✓Citizen to apply for this job.
- ✓Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.
- ✓Must be proficient in written and spoken English.
- ✓Subject to background/security investigation.
