About the Role
This Social Worker will provide evidence-based psychotherapy (EBP) for Veterans with severe and/or complex mental health concerns who are assigned to the Behavioral Health Interdisciplinary Program (BHIP) team at Community Based Outpatient Clinics.
What You'll Do
- →Total Rewards of a Allied Health Professional Duties for this position include, but are not limited to: Provide individual and group evidence-based treatment and psychoeducation for Veterans with a wide range of mental and behavioral health conditions.
- →Provide crisis intervention and stabilization, which may include facilitating connections to higher levels of care (e.g., emergency department) for patient safety.
- →Provide psychological assessment and diagnostic services, including to determine if a referral for neuropsychological evaluation is needed.
- →Conduct all three components of measurement based care: collect patient reported outcome measures, share results with Veterans, and act on the basis of those findings.
- →Provide motivational enhancement to prepare Veterans to participate in clinically appropriate care.
- →Provide or refer for couples/family interventions as indicated.
- →Provide consultation to staff within and outside of the mental health service line to assist in diagnosis and treatment of their patients.
- →Use telemental health and face to face modalities to provide psychological services to Veterans.
- →Promote communication between team members, patients, and their families to facilitate recovery-oriented treatment.
- →Actively participate in BHIP team huddles and through electronic communication (e.g., TEAMs chat).
- →Engage in implementation of the national BHIP Collaborative Care Model, including following standard operating procedures and contributing to continuous improvement efforts in the BHIP.
- →Complete timely documentation as required by the Medical Center.
- →Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:30am - 4:00pm.

Requirements
- ✓You must be a U.S.

- ✓Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.
- ✓Must be proficient in written and spoken English.
