About the Role
About the Position: Serves as a U.S. Army Medical Command (MEDCOM) Social Services Assistant in clinics or units providing assistance for the Family Advocacy Program.
What You'll Do
- →Work under the supervision of a social worker Family Advocacy Program (FAP) supervisor who sets the overall objectives, resources, and decisions available.
- →Collaborate with a licensed clinical social worker in recommending treatment plans and provides case management services to include ensuring that an approved treatment plan approved is carried out by the client.
- →Interview clients to provide information about the Family Advocacy Program (FAP) and the incident determination process.
- →Coordinate services with the installation Victim Advocate for resources, emergency shelter information, protective orders, and other supportive services in spouse/intimate partner cases.
- →Report individual's treatment compliance and progress when case reviews are scheduled and maintain appropriate case records according to standards of professional practice.
- →Notifies child protective services when new domestic abuse reports are received.
- →Ensures appropriate safety measures are in place to protect victims and documents all actions in a timely, clear and concise manner.
