The Greater Los Angeles VA Medical Center is searching for 2 Social Services Assistants to serve within the Mental Health service. The position is located in the Domiciliary Residential Rehabilitation and Treatment Program (DRRTP) that provides extended care to veterans with complex medical, psychiatric, alcohol and drug abuse/ and homelessness.
What You'll Do
- →Duties include but are not limited to: Assures resident compliance with health, safety and sanitation directives as they pertain to living quarters, treatment areas, TV rooms, multi-purpose rooms, etc.
- →Modifies and directs residents behavior and assist the therapeutic rehabilitation programs as a member of a treatment team.
- →Documents and coordinates problems toward their resolution with appropriate clinical or administrative staff.
- →Reviews admission screening information on new admissions and becomes familiar with resident history, diagnosis, psycho-social status and any special precautions.
- →Prepares forms for resident activities such as referrals, consultation clearances, and discharges.
- →Work Schedule: Full time, Monday-Friday, 8:00-4:30pm Virtual: This is not a virtual position.

Requirements
