The primary purpose of this position is to conduct interviews with Family Advocacy Program clients, administer assessment questionnaires, provide training to individuals at risk for family maltreatment and assist staff members in the research and evaluation of the Family Advocacy Program, ensure compliance with Department of Defense Directives and Department of Air Force.
What You'll Do
- →Conducts comprehensive screening interviews with Family Advocacy Program clients.
- →Explains appropriate FAP services, requirements, policies, and procedures while obtaining pertinent biopsychosocial history and other case information to be incorporated into client files at the assigned installation Assists in the development and implementation of comprehensive outreach and prevention programs for individuals, families, and groups requiring assistance with family-related issues.
- →Contributes to action plans for Family Advocacy's Secondary Prevention and Client Engagement team based on community needs assessments and program objectives specific to the installation's demographic profile and identified risk factors.
- →Coordinates resource and referral services between military and civilian community agencies to ensure comprehensive support for military families.
- →Assists in establishing effective resource and referral services and strategies for optimal utilization of these services based on the unique resources available in the installation's geographic area.
- →Performs program administration and data management functions to ensure effective operation of the Family Advocacy Program.
- →Prepares a detailed agenda for case management team meetings, ensuring all necessary information and documentation is available for effective case review according to the procedures established at the assigned installation.
- →Compiles comprehensive statistical data and prepares recurring reports to document program activities, outcomes, and compliance requirements in formats specified by local leadership and DAF FAP requirements and standards.
