About the Role

- →Customs and Border Protection (CBP), Enterprise Services (ES), CBP Workforce Care Directorate (WCD).
- →The position involves regional and national support of the workforce and leadership through alcohol and substance use prevention, intervention, and outreach activities.
- →This position starts at a salary of $125,776.00 (GS-14, Step 1) to $163,514.00 (GS-14, Step 10).
- →Major Duties: Delivering training to CBP personnel, including both employees and supervisors, on healthy habits concerning alcohol and substance use, fostering a culture of well-being and responsible decision-making.
- →Supporting the Alcohol and Substance Misuse Program Manager in implementing field initiatives, the Peer Recovery Specialist plays a vital role in planning, coordinating, and executing program activities, such as awareness campaigns and educational workshops.
- →Assisting CBP in developing, planning, and measuring the effectiveness of employee engagement, resilience, and wellness initiatives.
- →Representing CBP on various panels, committees, and technical groups, actively advocating for employee well-being and promoting the agency's commitment to providing comprehensive support services.
- →Providing direct support to employees and supervisors who are dealing with alcohol and substance use issues, offering individual consultations, conducting assessments, and developing personalized recovery plans tailored to their specific needs and circumstances.
Requirements
