About the Role
This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Domestic Defense Industrial Base Facilities and the Major Range and Test Facilities Base to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: This position fabricates, assembles, and installs a variety of articles of sheet metal using a wide variety of tools and equipment.
What You'll Do
- →Fabricates sheet metal components using shop mathematics.
- →Erects prefabricated steel components using structural framework to secure buildings.
- →Repairs commercial metal doors by replacing worn hardware to ensure correct alignment.
- →Welds structural steel components by adhering to shop specifications.
- →Bend and form metal parts into desired shapes with hand and power tools and various equipment.
