About the Role
Incumbent serves as the Senior Social Worker to support the Workplace Violence Prevention Program (WVPP) in the Mental Health Service.
What You'll Do
- →The Senior Social Worker serves as a member of the Workplace Violence Prevention Program (WVPP).
- →Tasked with participating in quality improvement projects around disruptive behavior.
- →Supports the WVPP Program Coordinator in responding to VISN and Central Office requests for information about disruptive behavior training information available through DBRS or any data about disruptive behavior incidents.
- →Interfaces with VATVCBHCS Police Service and other law enforcement agencies as needed to ensure safety of Veterans and VA staff.
- →Responsible for the education, training, implementation of local and national policies, Directives, and Regulatory Requirements pertaining to individualized, evidence-based, data-driven violence risk and violence risk mitigation strategy recommendations.
- →The incumbent may serve as the representative for Psychology Service on various Psychology Service, Mental Health Service Line, System or VISN administrative committees or work groups as assigned.
- →Supports the WVPP Lead in pulling and reporting facility-level data as needed for answering suspenses.
- →Paid Time Off: 37-50 days of annual paid time offer per year (13-26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year) Selected applicants may qualify for credit toward annual leave accrual, based on prior [work experience] or military service experience.
- →Parental Leave: After 12 months of employment, up to 12 weeks of paid parental leave in connection with the birth, adoption, or foster care placement of a child.
- →Child Care Subsidy: After 60 days of employment, full time employees with a total family income below $144,000 may be eligible for a childcare subsidy up to 25% of total eligible childcare costs for eligible children up to the monthly maximum of $416.66.
