About the Role
This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific individual eligibility requirements in accordance with VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) and eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after complete review of the EDRP application.

- →VA Careers - Social Work: https://youtube.com/embed/enRhz_ua_UU Total Rewards of a Allied Health Professional The Senior Social Worker- Behavioral Health Interdisciplinary Program (BHIP) provides clinical psychosocial services at an advanced practice level to eligible veterans and their family members.
- →Veteran patients are primarily from the Chillicothe catchment areas and services are provided at the assigned site (Chillicothe VA or Wilmington CBOC).
- →Psychosocial problems and needs are complex and require collaboration and the ability to practice independently.
- →Duties include but are not limited to: Full range of psychodiagnostic services including psychosocial assessment, and using the most appropriate evidence-based psychotherapeutic techniques in providing quality care in the delivery of a full range of psychosocial and multidisciplinary services in BHIP.
- →Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings for Veterans enrolled in Outpatient Mental Health Services.
- →Interface with other departments and provide consultation services to medical center and CBOC staff on a wide variety of patient care issues, particularly related to identifying mental health concerns and social determinant needs of Veterans from all eras of service.
- →Conducts care coordination, intake, evidence-based diagnostic assessment, and/or provides one or more evidence-based therapies.
- →Assist with referrals for local, State and Federal benefits as necessary.
- →Interface with county mental health boards and law enforcement agencies to support development of Veteran-specific-emergency processes that best utilize VA resources with sensitivity to Veteran-Military culture.
- →Provide Employee Assistance Program counseling when called upon for such services and may work in the Urgent Care area as needed.
- →Provide student supervision to Social Work Interns as needed, or licensure supervision to dependent social workers.
- →Participate in monthly or quarterly mental health chart reviews, compiles resulting data, and submits data to the supervisor and other leadership in and outside of careline.
- →Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Requirements
