About the Role
This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific individual eligibility requirements in accordance with VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) and eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after complete review of the EDRP application.
What You'll Do
- →Total Rewards of a Allied Health Professional Major Duties Include, but not limited to: Lead interdisciplinary team meetings to review new or complex cases for treatment recommendations.
- →Receive, review, and complete BHIP consults utilizing the consult toolbox.
- →Make team assignments based on clinical needs and preferences of the patient.
- →Ensure BHIP services comply with VHA and Medical Center policy, as well as Federal, State, and Local regulations.
- →Ensure services meet Joint Commission requirements.
- →Track and collect data on the utilization of behavioral treatments.
- →Develop performance improvement initiatives.
- →Provide training, orientation, and guidance to health professionals regarding BHIP services.
- →Ensure the development of single, comprehensive, Veteran-focused treatment plans with measurable goals.
- →Establish clear referral mechanisms and processes for other facility providers.
- →Formalize service agreements where needed.
- →Assess available information and analytical systems to evaluate and enhance service quality.
- →Develop and implement information systems to track service activities including visits, referrals, and patient satisfaction.
- →Develop work improvement plans in coordination with the BHIP Coordinator.

- ✓Participation in the seasonal influenza vaccination program is a requirement for all Department of Veterans Affairs Health Care Personnel (HCP).
