This position is located with Bonneville Power Administration (BPA), in the Data Integration & Reporting (JLSR), Software Development & Operations (JLS), Enterprise Shared Services (JL), Information Technology (J). A successful candidate will serve to ensure the integration of IT programs & services & developing solutions to integration/interoperability issues & designing, developing, & managing systems that meet current & future business requirements & optimize the existing architecture.
What You'll Do
- →As a Senior Data Architect, you will: Perform a variety of work involving planning, development, implementation, and administration of systems for the acquisition, storage, and retrieval of data.
- →Apply and adapt new and improved approaches to the design, development, and implementation of data mining, data warehousing, and related data storage and retrieval systems.
- →Develop guidelines for the application of data modeling practices to the development of data management applications.
- →Diagnose and resolve the most complex data management problems and issues.
- →Develop logical data models to be translated into workable physical database schema and structures in the database development process.
- →Select modeling methodologies and tools.
- →Generate models that are capable of accommodating new and unanticipated business requirements and processes.
- →Verify model integrity.
- →Maintain and revise existing models.
- →Perform a variety of work involving the design, documentation, development, modification, testing, installation, implementation, and support of new or existing applications software.
- →Lead a multi-functional development project in software analysis, design, development, and implementation for a new system or major enhancement to an existing system.
- →Draft project plans and identify resource requirements.
- →Ensure customer and management involvement throughout the software development process.
- →Resolve critical issues affecting the configuration of the IT infrastructure.
