As a Senior Congressional Liaison Specialist at the GS-0301-14, you will be part of the Legislative Affairs Division, Office of Communications and Legislative Affairs, U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. If selected, you will be responsible for reviewing and assisting higher level staff members in researching legislative regulations and policies.
What You'll Do
- →Provides managerial and professional advice to the Legislative Affairs Director and Principal Director on the operations of the Commission's District Office and Headquarters Congressional and White House Correspondence Program.
- →Recommends, develops, plans, and implements Commission-wide legislative affairs programs, including legislative liaison activities, issue briefs, legislative research, congressional briefings, hearings, and initiatives.
- →Serves as a policy advisor to the Legislative Affairs Director and Principal Director on Title VII, the Equal Pay Act, the ADEA, Section 501 of the Rehabilitation Act, the ADA, and other equal employment opportunity laws and policies.
- →Provides legislative expertise and guidance to the Legislative Affairs Director and Principal Director and other senior staff on legislative matters affecting the Commission.
- →Identifies and recommends opportunities for the EEOC to establish or expand its legislative presence and strengthen relationships with congressional stakeholders.
- →Communicates Commission policies, legislative priorities, and related guidance to Headquarters and Field Office personnel.
