About the Position: You will serve as the Counter Unmanned Systems (C-UXS) expert for the Headquarters US Africa Command (AFRICOM), Operations Directorate (J-3), Mission Assurance & Protection Division (J-34) and be the focal point of USAFRICOM staff coordination for all aspects withing the Geographic Combatant Command for requirements supporting C-UXS objectives.
What You'll Do
- →You will maintain an in-depth knowledge of Counter Unmanned Systems (C-UXS) and C-UXS capabilities, trends, and advancements to keep abreast of emergent threats.
- →You will manage all aspects of C-UXS contract support as a Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR), managing acquisition requirements under the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR).
- →You will implement processes to identify, prioritize, assess, and manage risks and leads in the C-UXS Working Group and Integrated Air Missile Defense Working Group.
- →You will develop processes for integrating standard and non-standard training equipment in line with Department of War and Joint Staff policies, procedures, and emerging developments.
- →You will regularly review policy, prioritizes resources, and plans integration of specific training in a dynamic international working environment.
- →You will provide COCOM level coordination and oversight for theater C-UXS program and efforts, to include risk management, planning, training, exercises, resourcing, and program monitoring and maintenance.
- →You will synchronize C-UXS through an integrated risk management methodology across command missions, policy, plans, and programs, mitigating mission execution risk from the full spectrum of threats and hazards.
- →You will identify strategic risks that endanger the combatant command operational plans (OPLAN), contingency plans (CONPLAN), and core joint mission essential tasks (JMET).
