About the Role
This position is in the Division of Administrative Services at the Crownpoint Service Unit. The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the primary secretary to the Service Unit Health Systems Administrator, and to the departments/branches under the division which do not have clerical support. A REAL ID will be required beginning May 7, 2025, in accordance with 6 C.F.R. 37.5 (2021).
What You'll Do
- →Arranges meetings and conferences including space, time, attendees, agenda and background material.
- →Makes travel and training arrangements for supervisors and staff employees within Division of Administrative Services.
- →Serves as timekeeper Maintains reference materials on all phases of operation, various administrative and procedural manuals, and correspondence files.
- →Uses office automation systems and various software packages to accomplish assignments which include text editing; file creation using spreadsheets, databases, graphs and/or tables.
- →Receives visitors and incoming calls, ascertain nature of business and determines appropriate course of action.

- ✓Background Investigation Requirement: This position requires the successful completion of a federal background investigation as a condition of employment.

- ✓Upon receipt of instructions, applicants must complete all required background investigation forms within five (5) calendar days of issuance.
- ✓Timely completion is critical to avoid delays in processing or a determination of unsuitability.

- ✓Individuals with substantial delinquent or unresolved financial obligations-including, but not limited to, delinquent federal or state tax liabilities, defaulted federal student loans, court-ordered fines or fees, or child support arrears-may be deemed unsuitable for employment with the Indian Health Service (IHS).
- ✓Prior to the appointment, candidates must present two valid forms of identification.
