About the Role
Corrections professionals who foster a humane and secure environment and ensure public safety by preparing individuals for successful reentry into our communities.
What You'll Do
- →Receives and refers telephone calls.
- →Receives visitors to the office, determines the nature of the visit and directs then to the appropriate staff or personally provides the information needed, when routine or procedural matters of the office are involved.
- →Responds to routine request for information such as status of reports, suspense dates for matters requiring compliance, and similar information readily available from files.
- →Reviews correspondence prepared for the supervisor and other staff.
- →Prepares other documents such as transfer orders or furlough papers, composes and types routine correspondence, initiates and mails forms routinely used in casework procedures and distributes copies of parole process reports to the supervising United States Probation Officers.
- →Along with all other correctional institution employees, incumbent is charged with responsibility for maintaining security of the institution.
- →The staffs correctional responsibilities precede all others required by this position and are performed on a regular and recurring basis.
