About the Role
You will serve as a Safety and Occupational Health Specialist in the Production Department Safety Branch (900S.1), Production Safety Manager (O900S), Production Resources Department Analysis & Business Manager (900A), Production Resources Department Production Manager (901), Production Resources Department (900) of NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD.
What You'll Do
- →Provide mentoring assistance and direction to other productions shop personnel to ensure prevention of injuries.
- →Conduct a variety of activities directed at identifying hazardous conditions, operation, procedures, and work practices.
- →Provide oversight in a variety of production work areas and Safety Program functions areas, making recommendations for improvement.
- →Develop program management policies, concepts, practices, and principles in order to analyze, evaluate and develop recommendations for improvement in program operations and objectives.
- →Prepare and present oral and written communications, and presented evaluations and presentation of reports, charts, and graphs.
- →Interpret the interrelationship between nuclear and non-nuclear requirements in order to assess surveillance and studies.
