You will serve as a SAFETY AND OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH SPECIALIST in the SAFETY DIVISION, OPERATIONS DEPARTMENT ofCOMMANDER, NAVAL REGION JAPAN . ***ACCESS TO MEDICAL AND DENTAL CARE IN JAPAN IS EXTREMELY LIMITED. Please see Additional Information section below.***
What You'll Do
- →You will serve as the Regional Traffic Safety, Recreational Off-Duty Safety (RODS), and Safety Training Manager for Commander, Navy Region Japan (CNRJ).
- →You will provide advice and guidance to installation Traffic Safety/RODS Mangers to aide in the prevention and control of hazards.
- →You will participate in accident investigations and surveys, and conduct inspections to ensure program effectiveness and compliance.
- →You will facilitate motor vehicle operator training, to include motorcycle safety training, emergency vehicle operator course (EVOC) training and driver improvement training as described in OPNAV M -5100.23.
- →You will develop Region seasonal emphasis programs for traffic safety, creating training outlines, handouts, presentations and arranging for media publicity.
- →You will ensure all program requirements imposed by higher echelons and/or regulatory agencies are met.
- →You will retrieve data and maintain records using different types of computer software programs, e.g., electronic mail, databases, graphics, web design and word processing to store, tracked and retrieve motor vehicle and RODS safety equipment.
