About the Role
The Nursing Assistant (NA) provides complex nursing care independently as a member of the nursing team by assisting higher graded NAs, licensed nursing staff, and other members of the care team. Provide care under close supervision, learn to perform complex nursing skills, and will refer issues/questions to supervisors, higher graded NAs, licensed nursing staff or other healthcare professionals. Utilize clinical expertise and assist in the solution finding process to improve quality of care.
What You'll Do
- →The functions and duties of the Restorative Nursing Assistant include but are not limited to the following: Restorative Nursing Assistant (RNA) in the Community Living Center (CLC).
- →RNA assists with maintaining independence in functional mobility and activities of daily living, and to prevent a decline in function.
- →This concept actively focuses on achieving and maintaining optimal physical, mental, and psychosocial functioning.
- →Provide complex nursing care independently as a member of the nursing team by assisting higher grades NAs, licensed nursing staff, and other members of the care team.
- →RNA may perform these duties in a variety of health care settings such as outpatient, inpatient, home or community living care, acute, sub-acute RNA will care for patients/residents with acute to chronic conditions.
- →Utilize observation skills for data collection, reporting and recording.
- →Participate in patient centered conferences/shift reports and contribute information for the development and review of the nursing care plan.
- →Maintain a therapeutic environment for patients according to established procedures and policies by reporting actual or potential accidents, fire hazards and faculty equipment Perform additional duties as assigned by the Nurse Manager or designee.
- →Responsible for participating within unit based and/or organizational level Shared Governance councils, utilizing clinical expertise, evidence-based practice, and knowledge to assist with finding solutions to problems or issues to improve the quality care provided to our veterans.
- →Child Care Subsidy: After 60 days of employment, full time employees with a total family income below $144,000 may be eligible for a childcare subsidy up to 25% of total eligible childcare costs for eligible children up to the monthly maximum of $416.66.

Requirements
