The primary purpose of this position is to: Directorate Resource Manager with responsibility for planning, directing, organizing, and exercising control over financial planning and execution, budget administration, computers/unique automated systems/networks, manpower and personnel coordination.
What You'll Do
- →Represents the Directorate of Operations on various planning and programming working groups.
- →Conducts and/or actively participates in a variety of studies and analyses of organizations, functions, and work processes to improve mission effectiveness, resource efficiency, and resource savings.
- →Analyzes, develops, and evaluates issues and develops recommendations to resolve substantive problems and issues of effectiveness and efficiency within the Operations community.
- →Establishes, develops, and maintains effective working relationships with base-level leadership within the command, directorate staff at HQ AFGSC, other MAJCOMs, HQ USAF and DoD.
- →Serves as Directorate point of contact for all A3 funding accounts.
- →Develops annual financial plans, unfunded priority listings, Budget Execution Review submissions, and POM submissions.
- →Provides complex management support services in the areas of program cost analysis, annual/multi-year/long range fiscal planning (e.g., Defense Planning Guidance (DPG), Planning, Programming, Budgeting and Execution (PPBE) cycles), and development of annual work plan(s), and/or commercial activity for organization(s) whose operations are interrelated and unstable.
- →Actively participates in or facilitates management studies and strategic planning to improve organizational direction and focus using appropriate strategic planning tools and techniques.
- →Serves as Directorate of Operations project officer for AFGSC/A3 metrics.
- →Collects and reviews statistical data and metrics of strategy review objectives for which AFGSC/A3 is the lead.
- →Represents Directorate on a variety of working groups, special projects, and committees; prepares and delivers oral presentations such as briefing, training sessions, consultations, and strategy sessions with other staff service functions and activities to secure cooperation, resolve controversial matters, and convey information.
- →Compiles data and responses for submission using the Task Management Tool (TMT).
