About the Role
The Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM - MHRRTP) functions as a clinical expert responsible and accountable for all elements of the nursing process. Incumbent assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates delivery of care based on age specific components and assumes responsibility for the coordination of care focused on patient education, self-management, and customer satisfaction throughout the continuum of care. S/he is accountable to the Associate Director of Patient Care Services (ADPCS)..
What You'll Do
- →The Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) provides supervisory and clinical leadership for the Mental Health Residential Rehabilitation Treatment Program (MHRRTP).
- →The ANM supports the Nurse Manager with oversight of 24/7 operations, staff development, workflow coordination, and compliance with all regulatory and VA directives.
- →The ANM serves as a role model, educator, practitioner, and supervisor, advancing high-quality, trauma-informed, Veteran-centered care.
- →This role plays a key part in fostering accountability, supporting interdisciplinary collaboration, and driving evidence-based improvements across the residential continuum of care.

Requirements
- ✓Citizenship; non-citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy.
- ✓All applicants tentatively selected for VA employment in a testing designated position are subject to urinalysis to screen for illegal drug use prior to appointment.
- ✓Applicants who refuse to be tested will be denied employment with VA.
- ✓Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.

- ✓Participation in the seasonal influenza vaccination program is a requirement for all Department of Veterans Affairs Health Care Personnel (HCP).

- ✓Pre-Employment/Post-Employment Physical Examination: May be required, depending on the needs of the organization The Associate Degree Nursing (ADN), Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing (BSN), or Master of Science degree in Nursing (MSN) must be fully accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or the Commission On Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).
