About the Role
The Assistant Chief Nurse: Nursing Excellence Programs provides direct line authority, responsibility, and accountability for the administration, coordination, and evaluation of Nursing Education programs.
What You'll Do
- →Responsible for resolving complex personnel and administrative issues, contribute to executive-level decision-making, and perform a full range of managerial and operational duties.
- →Function with a high degree of independence and use sound judgement in decision-making, providing leadership across interdisciplinary groups at all organizational levels, including executive leadership.
- →Demonstrate exceptional communication, relationship-building, and leadership skills while effectively engaging with staff, Veterans, families, and stakeholders at the facility and network levels.
- →Execute leadership that is characterized by substantial and continuous responsibility and accountability for population groups or integrated programs that cross service and/or discipline lines and influence the organizational healthcare mission.

Requirements
- ✓Citizenship; non-citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy.

- ✓Participation in the seasonal influenza vaccination program is a requirement for all Department of Veterans Affairs Health Care Personnel (HCP).
