This position is located within Commander, Navy Region Southeast (CNRSE) and serves as the Morale, Welfare and Recreation Director. The purpose of this position is to provide technical assistance and guidance on policy issues that pertain to or affect the overall CNRSE MWR Programs. The incumbent coordinates with CNRSE MWR Departments and other departments within the Navy, as necessary when subject matter of MWR projects/objectives concerns Department of Defense (DoD) wide initiatives.

- →MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES: Program Administration, Analysis, and Oversight duties include but are not limited to: Plans and executes Regional MWR Programs through the administration, operation, and technical direction of all delivery systems and program components.
- →Manages, administers, and provides technical direction of MWR programs within Navy Region Southeast.
- →Staffs/drafts replies to, or endorsements on correspondence about issues of the division which may include coordination with staff members of CNRSE staff, MWR Departments, CNIC, other services, Office of the Secretary of Defense, Secretary of the Navy (SECNAV), or higher authority as necessary.
- →Periodically visits and tours other operations and incorporates best practices.
- →Evaluates, suggests, and serves as the technical expert to the Director for QOL Programs in matters relating to MWR.
- →Constantly updates and evaluates program components which are essential for provision of appropriate MWR programs and services.
- →Collaborates with Ashore Galleys for integrated food service approach.
- →Collaborates with Child and Youth Programs for integrated family readiness approach Liaison with CNIC Fleet Readiness.
- →Obtains additional revenue to offset program expenses through an aggressive sponsorship and advertising program.
- →Develops and oversees Executive Level Intern Program for MWR activities.
- →Maintains database of installation programs, services, facilities, and specialized equipment.
- →Makes changes in organization of work and or assignment of functions to improve workflow, promote job satisfaction and increase productivity and cost effectiveness.
