What You'll Do
- →Regional Financial Litigation Program Specialists (RFLPS) provide support and assistance for their assigned region of United States Attorneys' offices (USAOs) by administering, managing, and evaluating their civil and criminal debt collection activities.
- →RFLPS are regarded as Financial Litigation subject matter experts and regularly advises USAOs on relevant policies, programs, and evaluative techniques to maximize program effectiveness.
- →In this role, the incumbent RFLPS will perform the following duties, among others: Serve as an expert on matters related to criminal and civil debt collection and the Consolidated Debt Collection System (CDCS) and participate in standing and ad hoc working groups and task forces to address specific financial litigation issues.
- →Assess USAO training needs based on an analysis of functional area responsibility and unique USAO program needs and develop and/or facilitate related training and guidance for Financial Litigation personnel, which may include delivering presentations, and other information sharing sessions virtually and in-person.
- →Analyze, test, evaluate, and report on any case tracking system or reporting software changes and make recommendations and/or provide solutions to promote accuracy, effectiveness, and efficiency.
- →Plan, evaluate, develop, and disseminate materials, procedures, processes, and other guidance documents on topics of interest and need for financial litigation personnel.
- →Participate in the conceptualizing, planning, and drafting of financial litigation job aids and resources.
- →Identify changes in federal statutes, case law, and regulations affecting financial litigation programs in USAOs and assess and make recommendations regarding their impact on the work of the USAOs.
- →Analyze changes in Department of Justice policies and other issues of direct relevance to Financial Litigation programs and assess and make recommendations regarding their impact on the work of the USAOs.
- →Conduct programmatic studies and evaluative assessments of USAO financial litigation policies, priorities, and procedures, particularly as they relate to the effectiveness of USAO financial litigation efforts.
- →Responsibilities will increase and assignments will become more complex as your training and experience progress.
