About the Position: This position is located in the Army Medical Center Madigan Office of Managed Care, Tacoma, Washington.
What You'll Do
- →Gather medical and personal information relevant to program eligibility and beneficiary needs in order to coordinate appropriate care.
- →Upload the consult report to the correct beneficiary record and associated referral within the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
- →Coordinate care with Medical Treatment Facility staff, external health professionals, Veterans Affairs (VA) health care systems, and the Managed Care Support Contractor.
- →Educate staff, healthcare professionals, and beneficiaries on consult tracking procedures.
- →Maintain a suspense database to contact civilian healthcare professionals and obtain consult results.
- →Oversee the complete consult tracking process, ensuring timely execution and continuity of care for all TRICARE beneficiaries.
- →Provide accurate information on Medical Treatment Facility functions in response to beneficiary and staff questions.
- →Review referrals for quality, completeness, and accuracy to ensure specialty care requirements are ordered and authorized correctly.
- →Monitor and distribute daily incoming mail using knowledge of medical specialties and Medical Treatment Facility (MTF) departments to route diverse documents and clinical correspondence.
