About the Role
About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the Cadet Pool, Air Force Academy, Colorado. This position does not include benefits. .
What You'll Do
- →Continuously observes swimming area to ensure safety of patrons.
- →Ensures that the swimming area is open to patrons at the scheduled times and that authorized persons only are admitted to the area.
- →Rescues swimmers in trouble, promptly administers first aid, and calls for medical assistance if and when needed.
- →Warns swimmers of unsafe environmental or health conditions, ocean conditions of rough water or hazards, and recommends closing swimming areas until safe conditions prevail.
- →When working at pools may operate water pumps and control chemical additives to ensure pool water meets specific standards.
- →Ensures that diving boards are inspected frequently for cracks or loose matting, and that necessary repairs are made.
- →May perform other related or incidental duties as assigned for the daily operation of the swimming area to include: cleaning of bath houses, wading pools, main pools, pool decks, sunbathing areas, etc.
- →Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements
