About the Role
About the position: This position will be assigned to the Outdoor Recreation at Mountain Home AFB, ID. This is a Flexible work schedule with no minimum guaranteed hours, but may be scheduled up to 40 hours per week. This position does not offer benefits.
What You'll Do
- →Continuously observes swimming area to ensure safety of patrons.
- →Ensures the swimming area is open to patrons at scheduled times and only authorized persons are admitted to the area as well as securing the building a the close of shift.
- →Rescues swimmers in trouble, promptly administers first aid, and calls for medical assistance if and when needed.
- →Warns swimmers of unsafe environmental or health conditions, water hazards, and recommends closing swimming areas until safe conditions prevail.
- →When working at pools, may operate water pumps and control chemical additives to ensure pool water meets specified standards.
- →Ensures that all items on deck are inspected frequently and that necessary repairs are made or reported.
- →Keep all paperwork and records up to date.
- →May perform other related or incidental duties as assigned for the daily operation of the swimming area to include: cleaning of bath houses, wading pools, main pools, pool decks, beach areas, sunbathing areas, etc.
- →Performs other related duties as assigned.
