You will serve as a RANGE SAFETY SPECIALIST in the RANGE MANAGEMENT DEPARTMENT of MCAS CHERRY POINT.
What You'll Do
- →You will serve as the primary range safety subject matter expert for live fire activities on all Cherry Point ranges and training areas (RTA).
- →You will manage and update authorized ordnance lists, weapon systems, safety data, employment parameters, survey data for firing points, current maps, and ground hazards for an in-depth library.
- →You will be responsible for the certification and recertification of Cherry Point's RTAs.
- →You will monitor the effectiveness and execution of the RTA inspection program, collect and track unit appointment documentation, and provide required weekly and on-call safety briefs.
- →You will serve as the central departmental point of contact for Occupational Safety and Health and Explosive Safety programs.
