About the Position: The Range Officer is responsible for managing all aspects of the Fort Eustis training ranges, including the planning and execution of live-fire exercises, budget management, and facility maintenance. This position ensures that all training activities are conducted safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all applicable regulations, while also balancing military training needs with environmental stewardship.
What You'll Do
- →As a Range Officer, you will perform the following duties: Manages the Army’s Sustainable Range Program for the installation.
- →Oversees the allocation, maintenance, and development of all ranges and training lands.
- →Develops and enforces the range and training area safety program.
- →Leads long-term planning for range development and land use.
- →Manages the operational budget, including cost accounting and projections.
- →Ensures training activities comply with environmental and natural resource regulations.
- →Supervises, leads, and evaluates all personnel within the Range Division.
