About the Role
This Purchasing Agent position is in the Prosthetics department at the Joseph Maxwell Cleland Atlanta VA Medical Center in Atlanta. The position is full time, at 40 hours per week. A Purchasing Agent in prosthetics service acquires medical equipment, supplies, and devices for veterans, processes orders, ensures compliance with regulations, communicates with vendors, tracks deliveries, resolves issues, and maintains accurate records to support patient care efficiently.
What You'll Do
- →This position utilizes knowledge of policies and procedures for delivery orders and small purchases and knowledge of commercial supply sources and common business practices related to sales, prices, discounts, units of measurement, deliveries, stocks, and shipments.
- →The Purchasing Agent maintains responsibility for work leading to the purchase of a wide variety of complex and highly specialized services, supplies, equipment, and systems that support the full range of programs and activities.
- →Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm Telework: Not Authorized.
- →Virtual: This is not a virtual position.
