About the Position: The pay band NK-03 includes the General Schedule grade equivalent to GS-08 to 10. Other initiatives under the Acquisition Demonstration Project include simplified classification, streamlined hiring process and expanded developmental opportunities.
What You'll Do
- →Performs a full range of pre-award and post-award procurement actions that are well-defined, and well-precedented.
- →Procurement methods include formal and informal purchasing instruments Analyzes requirements and recommends necessary revisions to requesting activities to clarify requirements.
- →Reviews milestones and acquisition plans and then determines method and type of solicitation.
- →Compiles bidder's list by using qualified applications, knowledge of suppliers, contacts with trade associates, Small Business Administration, or from other sources.
- →Establishes bilateral agreements with companies on clause certifications to allow purchases on various types of contractual instruments.
- →Changes agreements through bilateral signatures, as clauses change, or as terms and conditions require revision.
- →Maintains up-to-date agreements.
- →Completes pre-award procurement actions that are complex in nature and where seasoned judgment is required to determine the method and process to use for procurement.
- →Prepares written requests for quotes (RFQs), sealed bids, and requests for proposal (RFP).
- →Procures technical and special-purpose, complex and non-standard or made-to-order parts for production involving multiple commodity areas.
