This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: This position is located with the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers, Memphis District, Operations Division, Physical Support Branch, Pumping Plant Section. Duty Location: W.G. Huxtable Pumping Station, Marianna, Arkansas.
What You'll Do
- →Performing preventive maintenance and repairs to mechanical and/or hydraulic systems.
- →Operating automatic mechanical and hydraulic systems to pump water to specified water levels and quality.
- →Diagnosing mechanical and/or hydraulic problems in order to replace or repair defective parts.
- →Interpreting technical manuals to perform assembly and disassembly of mechanical/hydraulic pumping plant equipment.
- →Operating hydraulic lifts, portable dewatering pumps, and electric air supply system compressors for pumping plant operations.
