The Veterans Integrated Service Network (VISN) Clinical Resource Hub (CRH) Psychology Program Manager is a VISN based leadership position located in VISN 23. The CRH Psychology Program Manager is under the general supervision of the VISN 23 CRH Mental Health (MH) Section Chief. This position is responsible for the leadership, management, and operations of assigned V23 CRH Programs and supervision of assigned direct reports.
What You'll Do
- →Announcement will close once 50 applicants is reached This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program.
- →You must meet specific eligibility requirements per VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment.
- →Program Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) & eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after review of the EDRP application.
- →Former EDRP participants ineligible to apply.
- →Incumbent completes thorough psychosocial assessments and treatment plans skillfully via telehealth modalities.
- →Incumbent will provide time-limited, evidence-based psychotherapy with individuals, couples, and families, crisis intervention, supportive counseling, and referral for resources and benefits.
- →Maintains high level of skill and expertise to establish and maintain effective therapeutic relationships with patients and/or their families.
- →Independently works with Veterans and their families who are experiencing a wide range of complicated medical, psychiatric, emotional, behavioral, and psychosocial problems.
- →Participates as a member of the treatment team and actively participates through collaboration with Veterans and family as well as interdisciplinary treatment team members as needed, in the development and implementation of a treatment plan.
- →Possesses a working knowledge and experience in use of mental health and substance abuse diagnoses and treatments, including acute, chronic and traumatic illnesses.
- →Facilitates discharge planning through collaboration with Veterans and their families as well as interdisciplinary treatment team members to ensure that appropriate discharge plans are executed in a timely manner.
- →Also, incumbent will address treatment non-compliance and "no-shows" when needed with patients.
- →Provides consultation and education to Veterans and their families regarding community resources, VA benefits, and specialty programs.
- →This includes the incumbent's knowledge of the process for accessing and/or coordinating community-based services, including information and referral for additional services from other VA programs, other government programs, and community programs.
