About the Position: You will serve as protocol officer and confidential assistant/advisor to the Commander, U.S. Army Garrison - Kwajalein Atoll (USAG-KA) on all aspects of the USAG-KA protocol program and assist the U.S. Ambassador to Republic of the Marshall Islands (RMI) as needed in dealing with the complexities of diplomatic protocol activities relating to USAG-KA visitors.
What You'll Do
- →Advise the Garrison Commander on all aspects of international protocol.
- →Establish protocol objectives, program plans and goals.
- →Research background information on visitors in order to apprise the Commander of the focus, goals, and purpose of visit; develop, coordinate, and publish detailed and personalized visit itineraries for distribution.
- →Serve as the Official Representation Fund Custodian for Secretary of the Army Contingency Funds and USCINCPAC Official Representation Funds, which are used to finance official functions.
- →Manage reservation system for, and usage of, all Distinguished Visitor (DV) quarters and the DV Lounge at the air terminal, maintaining a schedule for DV's to USAG-KA as well as high-ranking contractor corporate officials.
- →Compile information from files, records, or contacts with other elements and prepare correspondence concerning visits, tours, and other information relating to the handling of DV's, their special requirements, etc.
