About the Role

About the Position: Serve as a Protocol and Executive Services Specialist in the Headquarters, United States European Command (HQ USEUCOM), Protocol Office, providing recommendations to the office chief and co-workers for the observance of correct protocol procedures and precedence for USEUCOM and major subordinate component commands. Act as the USEUCOM protocol point of contact for allied military and civilian organizations for visits and protocol matters.

What You'll Do

  • In collaboration with the protocol chief, conceptualizes, plans, coordinates, and executes all aspects of the commander, by developing recommended itineraries, instructions, guides, supplementary material, and pertinent correspondence.
  • Notify the command group and other necessary personnel of ceremonies, meetings, and visits as warranted by the situation.
  • Provide planning and procedural guidance on the conduct of military social functions, such as military balls, etc. and provides for honors, courtesies, and seating commensurate with the honorees military rank or comparable station in civilian life.
  • Actively participate in the creation of, and updates to the USEUCOM protocol policies and procedures to assure integration and coordination of the program.
  • Serve as the Official Representation Fund (ORF) custodian by managing the command’s congressional authorized ORF budget.
  • Maintain biographical data on USEUCOM general officers and selected officers of the host nation community.
