About the Position: This is a Project Manager, GS-0301-12 position with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Southwestern Division (SWD), Fort Worth District, Programs and Project Management Division, located in Fort Worth, TX. A PCS OR A RELOCATION INCENTIVE OF UP TO 25% OF THE BASE SALARY, MAY BE OFFERED, DEPENDING ON FUNDING AVAILABILITY AND MANAGEMENT DISCRETION.
What You'll Do
- →Serve as Project Manager responsible for the overall management, control, coordination, and execution of assigned projects.
- →Implement corporate decisions, guidance, laws, regulations, and policy in the development of the project and intermediate products in support of the project.
- →Responsible for obtaining and maintaining the District's corporate commitment to the management plan.
- →Coordinates the planning, design, cost engineering, construction, etc., for projects of substantial scope and complexity as, measured by the in diversity, geographical location, management demands, technical intricacies, and issues.
- →Controls and manages project milestones and budgets from planning through construction and project turnover.
- →Reviews and analyzes cost reports to assure charges are authorized and appropriate and identifies unauthorized charges and assures corrective actions are taken for the ultimate disposition of inappropriate charges.
- →Reviews project progress measuring performance and taking necessary corrective actions to maintain agreed upon schedule and cost.
- →Represents the District Commander serving as the District's primary point of contact for projects assigned with stakeholder/customer; other external organizations; and higher authorities.
- →Responsible for keeping the stakeholder/customer fully informed of project progress, issues and their resolution, and any impact on costs.
