About the Role
You will serve as a PROJECT EXPOSURE MANAGER in the Production Resources Department (900), Nuclear Production Manager (300 N), Deputy Nuclear Production Manager (300 N1) Nuclear Production Radiation Control (BR 300 N13) of NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD.
What You'll Do
- →You will participate in the various phases of nuclear ship repair Project Management planning and execution oversight for work accomplished by skilled trade mechanics, reviewing work instructions, equipment, materials, tools and facilities.
- →You will identify potential for radiation exposure.
- →You will analyze detailed production planning and technical work documents and gathering data from other Project managers and shipyard Department to identify and develop radiation exposure estimates, document avoidable exposure.
- →You will identify and develope exposure reduction initiatives.
- →You will conduct weekly surveillances of skilled trades operations and ship's force work to determine the status of exposure reduction within the Project and work directly with Zone Managers, Supervisors, ship's force and/or Project Management Team.
Requirements
- ✓In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience: For the GS-11: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related A transcript must be submitted with your application if qualifying using education.
