The Department of Veterans Affairs is recruiting to fill a Program Support Assistant, at the Northern Arizona Health Care System, within it's Mental Health and Behavioral Science Service Line. The primary purpose of the Program Support Assistant (PSA), is to provide comprehensive program and administrative support to the Access Programs Manager and Support Staff. The incumbent directly supports an assigned administrative work area.
What You'll Do
- →The PSA performs general program support work such as the collection, compilation, research, and/or tracking of data and program information.
- →The major duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to: Serves as key member of Access Programs (Suicide Prevention, Primary Care Mental Health Care Integration (PCMHI), Workplace Violence Prevention, and Access/Gap) for data management and production of reports on an array of issues.
- →Processes incoming and outgoing materials such as correspondence, reports, memoranda, and other forms of written communication.
- →Prepares and writes reports that document the progress of a variety of data collection activities and identifying problem areas for further action.
- →Participates in the development and coordination of internal review systems to assure that both clinical and administrative activities are following agency and accrediting and regulatory (Joint Commission, CARF, etc.) requirements.
- →Provides annual records management staff training.
- →Conducts internal records reviews to ensure an effective records management program within their scope is maintained on an annual basis.
- →Performs work in support of Mental Health and Access Programs in terms of analysis of programs effectiveness, requiring knowledge of the purpose, orientation, methodology, and techniques of each program.
- →Provides support for daily operations for all programs under Access Programs, including identifying resources and lending support to mitigate issues impacting daily operations and facilitating administrative duties that directly support the respective missions of each Access Program.
- →Maintains timekeeping for all Access Programs (Suicide Prevention, Primary Care Mental Health Care Integration (PCMHI), Workplace Violence Prevention, and Access/Gap).
- →May be asked to provide back-up to other PSA's.
- →Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm Virtual: This is not a virtual position.
