This position is located at Veterans Affairs St. Louis Health Care System (VASTLHCS) a complex 1B Facility. The incumbent functions as a Program Support Assistant for the Jefferson Barracks Planning and Activations (P&A) Section within Facilities Engineering Service at the VASTLHCS.
What You'll Do
- →Major Duties include but are not limited to: Provides clerical, administrative, and logistical support essential to professional and technical staff in various management analysis and studies.
- →Develops and maintains databases and reports - securing, researching, organizing, and/or tracking data and statistical information in support of the P&A Section.
- →Maintains program databases, tracking internal reviews, action items, quality measures, and the efficiency of the program.
- →Conducts annual management studies sourced from historical contract data, current acquisition files, and Engineering technical certifications to determine annual contract required.
- →Performs inspections from checklists and guidance from the Associate Chief, Planning and Activation relative to activating spaces, space audit support, wayfinding and signage.
- →Responsible for procuring (with delegated authority) and preparing requests for purchase, fabrication, and/or installation of wall coverings, floor coverings, window treatments, etc, in support of P&A Section.
- →Performs other related duties as assigned.
- →Work Schedule: Full-Time, Permanent | Monday - Friday 08:00am - 4:30pm Virtual: This is not a virtual position.
- →Position Description/PD#: Program Support Assistant/PD101380 Relocation/Recruitment Incentives: Not Authorized Critical Skills Incentive (CSI): Not Approved Permanent Change of Station (PCS): Not Authorized Duty Station: Jefferson Barracks Division; however, the duty station may be changed to one of multiple locations within the VA St.
- →Louis Health Care System (VASTLHCS) based on the needs of the facility.
- →NOTE: Participation in the seasonal influenza program is a condition of employment and a requirement for all Department of Veterans Affairs Health Care Personnel (HCP).
- →It is a requirement that all HCP to receive annual seasonal influenza vaccination or obtain an exemption for medical or religious reasons.
- →Wearing a face mask is required when an exemption to the influenza vaccination has been granted.
- →HCP in violation of this directive may face disciplinary action up to and including removal from federal service.
