About the Role

This position is a member of the operations team of the Patient Care Services Central Staffing Office responsible for establishing, planning, monitoring, and directing staffing management for the CAVHS Nursing and Patient Care Services Service Lines. The Patient Care Services Department is the largest service in the Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare system.

What You'll Do

  • Your duties can include but are not limited to the following: Analyzes staffing methodology data across multiple service areas to identify trends, support decision-making, and improve operational efficiency.
  • Designs and develops reporting formats and data outputs to present actionable information for leadership and program use.
  • Determines project and staffing resource requirements to ensure effective allocation and utilization of personnel.
  • Prepares and delivers oral presentations on workforce data, labor mapping, and operational metrics to support leadership understanding and planning.
  • Develops and documents methodologies for staffing processes to address gaps such as call-outs and shifting resource needs.
  • Manage and maintain scheduling systems and timesheets to support accurate workforce tracking and reporting.
  • Communicates and coordinates with staff and supervisors to resolve technical and interpersonal issues impacting operations.
  • Educates staff on data requirements, system usage, and interpretation of reports to improve accuracy and efficiency.
  • Maintains liaison with multiple departments to support collaboration, information sharing, and alignment of operational needs.
  • Work Schedule: Evening shift 2:30pm-11:00pm with rotating weekends and holidays (subject to change based on the needs of the agency) Virtual: This is not a virtual position.
