The position is in the Social Work Service Line (SWSL), Veteran's Health Administration, VA Capital Newtwork (VISN5), Beckley VA Medical Center, Beckley West Virginia. This position is responsisble for a broad range of administrative and clerical duties associated with multiple, direct patient care clinical social workers and special program coordinators.
What You'll Do
- →Major Duties May Inlcude: Coordinates travel and training for the Chief, assisting with administrative enrollment, travel reseration, itineraried, requests and voucher reconcilliation.
- →Coordinates meeting spaces, IT support, and requirements.
- →Attends meetings, prepares meeting minutes, and follows up on action items with appropriate staff members independently.
- →Greets, assists, and refers visitors.
- →Answers, screens and refers phone calls.
- →Liason between the supervisor and subordinate units.
- →Primary records liason for the department administrative Standards Operating Procedures (SOP) and policies.
- →Analyzes administrative processes and workflows and identifies areas for improvement.
- →Makes suggestions to the Administrative Officer, updates policies, and implements changes within the department.
- →Backup timekeeper, responsible for the Delegation of Authorities for time and leave program and ensures the supervisors have completed their education in order to appropriately post approvals Assist with referring patient complaints to the Patient Advocate for the SW service line.
- →Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm Telework: This position may be authorized for telework.
