This Program Support Assistant - Integrative Medicine and Wellness (PSA) is located within the Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Service at the Hampton VA Medical Center. This PSA supports patient-centered care and contributes to a high level of employee and Veteran engagement in complementary and integrative health (CIH) services, prevention, and wellness activities.
What You'll Do
- →Duties include but are not limited to: Coordinates the implementation activities for Whole Health programs, policies, procedures, and program evaluation.
- →Manage administrative tasks for referrals, consult management, staffing, encounter completion, and workload tracking.
- →Monitors and ensures data integrity across various information tracking systems, including Veterans Equitable Resource Allocation (VERA) funding reports, encounter reports, labor mapping updates in Managerial Cost Accounting (MCA), and other internal and external systems.
- →Develops, analyzes, evaluates, and advises on methods and procedures to improve the effectiveness of work, including organization, manpower utilization, information and documentation systems, as well as similar management functions impacting Integrative Health services throughout the facilities.
- →Applies general knowledge about Integrative Medicine and Whole Health programs and activities for employee programs, specialty services, and multidisciplinary Patient Aligned Care Teams (PACTs) across the facility, including all Community-Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs).Applies knowledge of Whole Health and VHA policies as needed in business operations.
- →Assists the Whole Health Program with preparing national, VISN, and Medical Center-level reports using various analytic systems, such as VHA Support Service Center (VSSC), ProClarity, Pyramid Analytics, PACT Compass, and data almanacs Completes special reports or studies for Medical Center leadership, VISN program managers, and VA Central Office (VACO) operations as requested.
- →Performs other duties as assigned.
- →Promotion Potential: The selectee may be promoted to the full performance level without further competition when all regulatory, qualification, and performance requirements are met.
