About the Role

This position is located This position is with the USDA, Forest Service, Office of the Chief (OFC). The incumbent is considered an agency expert in the field of Program Specialist work. What You'll Do

  • Duties listed are at the full performance level GS-14.
  • Advise senior leadership on interpretation of laws, regulations, and policies to ensure project compliance.
  • Direct policy formulation and coordination to support programs and services, budget execution, program/project management responsibilities and operations.
  • Formulate policies, objectives, and standards for a specific program.
  • Maintain, develop, and leverage partnerships with governmental and non-governmental organizations to meet program objectives.
  • Develop long and short-range plans, to include budget, leading high priority projects, and studies to provide input to highest management levels in the organization.

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S.
  • Citizen or National.
  • Males born after 12/31/1959 must be Selective Service registered or exempt.
  • Subject to satisfactory adjudication of background investigation and/or fingerprint check.
  • Per Public Law 104-134 all Federal employees are required to have federal payments made by direct deposit to their financial institution.
