This position is located within the Department of Veterans Affairs, Salisbury VA Health care system, Mental Health Service Line and Administrative Support Section. This position directs the work and supervises the work of administrative employees assigned to the Mental Health and Behavioral Sciences service line while ensuring the administraitve processes within the service line are performed in an expeditions manner in support of internal and external customers.
What You'll Do
- →Duties included but are not limited to: Plans, organizes, administrates, and directs work of 11 PSAs and 2 Program Specialists.
- →Knowledge of the principles, methods, and tools for automating, developing, implementing, or administering database systems.
- →Works with coordinators, managers and ACOS to ensure work is clear and executable.
- →Identifies a need for and knows where or how to gather information; organizes and maintains information or information management systems.
- →Communicates with leadership and gives advice regarding administrative support.
- →Organizes work, sets priorities, and determines resource requirements; determines short- or long-term goals and strategies to achieve them; coordinates with other organizations or parts of the organization to accomplish goals; monitors progress and evaluates outcomes.
- →Reviews and analyzes processes used to complete work in various programs.
- →Works with team to ensure that services are easily obtained and meet customer requirements.
- →Manages group processes; encourages and facilitates cooperation, pride, trust, and group identity; fosters commitment and team spirit; works with others to achieve goals.

Requirements
