About the Role
Serves as a Program Manager responsible for the oversight, management, direction, and operations of assigned network management programs. Provides guidance in matters related to assigned program(s) as well as academic affiliate partnerships, provider agreements, and other special populations as assigned in terms of policy development, analysis, budget, decision-making, and implementation activities affecting the entire agency health care system.
What You'll Do
- →Development and interpretation of guidance on program planning and evaluation of assigned programs, serves as a primary technical/operational consultant for development and implementation of policies, procedures, and operations related to new and existing programs and initiatives.
- →Performs policy analysis and serves as decision-maker and senior bureau advisor for agency engagement and partnering with external health care organizations.
- →Monitors development of legislation, regulatory guidance, and policy directives for assigned programs.
- →Evaluates programs against short- and long-range objectives to develop effective bureau-level policies and support strategic planning and change management.
- →Articulates and investigates policy options for program customers and planning and implementation of decisions.
- →Defines or redefines critical problems and advises management of advantages and disadvantages of approaches.
- →Reviews program policies for consistency with policy direction of management and to identify needed areas of analysis.
- →Manages development of projects to identify, review, and analyze new legislation, executive directives, policy, procedures, and practices.
- →Plans, organizes, directs, coordinates, controls, reviews, evaluates, and improves resource support operations.
- →Analysis of performance data utilizing qualitative and quantitative methods to assess program effectiveness and develop recommendations to improve programs based on interpretation of tangible data (e.g., trends, anomalies) as well as data based on prediction and assumption.
- →Develops reports and analyses for various organizational/governmental levels (e.g., bureau, agency, Congress).
- →Provides statistical expertise and guidance in analyzing bureau databases.
- →Develops and implements new business functions and processes.
- →Identifies requirements, originates new techniques, establishes criteria, develops new data reporting requirements, and creates corresponding collection and reporting tools.
