About the Role

This position is assigned to the Quality, Safety, and Value (QSV) Quality and Performance (Q&P) directorate of the Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Administration. The incumbent serves in a management position that is organizationally aligned under the QSV Q&P Director. The incumbent serves as the Program Manager over several departments and/or programs supporting the Office of Integrated Veteran Care Programs.

What You'll Do

  • Coordinates efforts to develop and implement program performance measures based on emerging priorities Provides governance and operations oversight for enterprise-wide healthcare payment and medical claim integrity operations.
  • Plans, organizes, and completes program segment plans, operational analyses, data collection, and legislative responses.
  • Oversees healthcare payment and medical claim integrity control activities to strengthen reimbursement accuracy.
  • Conducts market research, management surveys, research projects, and advisory services on issues of substantial scope and impact throughout the organization.
  • Plans, schedules, and carries out major projects, internal reviews, and program evaluations to assess, improve, and ensure compliance of programs and operations with national impact.
  • Collaborates with clinical, policy, financial, operational, contractor, and other internal and external stakeholders to assess program needs.
  • Works with Program Office external stakeholders/organizations, including contractors, private-sector health care providers, and trade organizations, to assess needs and provide project goals, objectives, and guidelines.
  • Administratively manages quality, resource, financial, training, and performance evaluation activities in accordance with applicable policies, principles, and operational priorities that support health care administration strategic goals and objectives.
  • Creates, facilitates, prioritizes, and negotiates resolution of operational issues with VHA leaders and private-sector health care providers/networks.
  • Develops procedures for establishing, operating, and assessing administrative controls and line program operations; oversees audits, inspections, internal control reviews, findings, and corrective actions.
  • Provides administrative and technical supervision necessary for accomplishing the work of the unit directed; exercises significant responsibilities in dealing with managers of other units and organizations.
  • Work Schedule: Monday- Friday 8:00 a.m.- 4:30 p.m.
  • (Flexible) Telework: This position may be authorized for telework.
