About the Role
Serve as subject matter expert for the Command's Vendor Threat Mitigation (VTM) program to minimize risk to forces, risk to mission, to prevent inadvertent funding of adversaries, and to promote effectiveness of commercial support to operations. Coordinate with Department of Defense (DoD) and Joint Staff to ensure the Command VTM program is in compliance with Congressional law and DoD Directives. Represent the Command on all Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD) VTM forums.
What You'll Do
- →Develops, interprets, and implements Combatant Command-level policies, instructions, and directives to establish and govern the VTM framework within the USEUCOM Area of Responsibility (AOR).
- →Serves as the principal SME and lead representative for the Combatant Commander on all VTM matters, providing authoritative guidance to subordinate commands, components, and DoD activities.
- →Directs the EUCOM VTM Working Group (WG), facilitating monthly cross-staff and subordinate command engagements to synthesize threat intelligence with commercial operational support data.
- →Collaborates with the J2 and J3 Directorates to embed VTM operations deeply into strategic plans and orders, ensuring commercial support risk mitigation is codified in operational doctrine.
- →Serves as the command authority and lead proponent for the Joint Contingency Contracting System (JCCS) and other designated DoD VTM databases.
