About the Role
This vacancy is for a GS-0340, Program Manager located in the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Coast Guard, MAJOR SYSTEMS ACQUISITION ASSISTANT PEO AVIATION -CG-931 - (CG-AIR -A2) in WASHINGTON, District of Columbia. This is a temporary/term appointment not to exceed four (4) years.
What You'll Do
- →You will serve as a/an Program Manager and be responsible for the planning, organization, execution, and coordination of assigned acquisition program(s), in accordance with approved charters and applicable policies and procedures.
- →Being a Coast Guard civilian makes you a valuable member of the Coast Guard team.
- →Typical work assignments include: Developing, managing, and documenting short and long-range, acquisition planning activities that include multi-year work plans.
- →Planning and initiating a comprehensive evaluation system for the review and analysis of proposed costs, program development, and performance.
- →Serving as the principal advisor on all project/program activities.
- →Monitoring the execution of the budget with many different sources and types of funding, such as direct multi-year appropriations and transfers of funds to and from other agencies.
- →Expected to work towards obtaining and maintaining Federal Acquisition Contracting Certification FAC-C Level III.
