About the Role
This vacancy is for a GS-0340-14, Program Manager located in the Surface Acquisition Programs Directorate (CG SEA-A) at Coast Guard Headquarters in Washington D.C. and the Surface Engineering Programs Directorate (CG-SEA-E) at Coast Guard Yard in Baltimore, MD. This is a term appointment not to exceed 4 years.
What You'll Do
- →You will serve as a Program Manager and responsible for overseeing the development, production, testing, and delivery of the high-capacity Floating Drydock for Coast Guard Yard.
- →Secondarily, as Program Manager you are responsible for serving as the Coast Guard Yard Shipyard Infrastructure Optimization Plan (SIOP) liaison, the link between CG Yard operations and PEO-SHORE-A in supporting the planning and execution of Coast Guard Yard's Shipyard lnfrastructure Optimization Plan (SIOP).
- →Being a Coast Guard civilian makes you a valuable member of the Coast Guard team.
- →Typical work assignments include: Serves as a link between CG Yard operations and PEO-SHORE-A in supporting the planning, phasing and execution of CG Yard's SIOP.
- →The incumbent is responsible for the planning, organization, execution, and coordination of the acquisition of a high-capacity Floating Drydock for Coast Guard Yard.
- →Contributes to the accomplishment of Surface Engineering Programs Directorate (CG-SEA) mission, goals, and objectives by strategic direction and effective implementation of the objectives of assigned acquisition programs.
- →Develops, manages, and documents acquisition planning activities, including but not limited to the development of a comprehensive evaluation system for the review and analysis of proposed costs, program development and performance.
- →Provides direction on a wide range of program issues essential to the efficient operation of Surface Engineering Programs Directorate (CG-SEA).
