About the Role
About the Position: Serves as Branch Chief for the Programs and Project Controls Office (PPCO), supervising a multi-disciplinary staff engaged in the life-cycle program and funds management and project automated information system (AIS) management of Civil Works, Military, Hazardous, Toxic and Radioactive Waste (HTRW) and Interagency & International Support (IIS) programs.
What You'll Do
- →Provides program and project management support to the Division and district personnel.
- →Responsible for all programs management and funds control functions of the Military, IIS, and HTRW programs.
- →Recommend priorities within the limits of resources to ensure proper project execution and financial balance.
- →Oversee preparation of data for the District's annual workload forecasting effort and consolidate programming data into the AIS for future resource planning.
- →Participate in policy development and program planning for Division-wide activities to ensure district policy conforms to existing precedents, practices, and guidelines.
- →Serve as the District's staff authority and consultant on program management, providing expert advice on program policy, funding, scheduling, and manpower to the District Commander and Deputy District Engineer.
- →Oversee and lead District efforts to meet initiatives of transforming the organization in regard to governance, business practices, and data analytics.
- →Represent the District and provide advice and guidance on program and project operations, negotiating with concerned parties to gain compliance with established policies.
- →Provide leadership and strategic recommendations to senior management regarding the Military, HTRW, IIS, and Civil Works programs and budget allocations.
- →Supervise the PPCO workforce and work operation, planning and scheduling the office's work and making assignments based on capabilities, priorities, and project difficulty.
- →Initiate and submit requests for personnel actions, select candidates for PPCO positions, establish performance objectives, evaluate employee performance, and initiate performance awards.
- →Interpret and determine the impact of pertinent legislation on the District's programs, projects, and budget formulations to ensure compliance.
